Summer is not the only time of year that you can take your family RVing. With a chill in the air and the beautiful turning of the leaves, Fall has a lot to offer in the camping world. However, when you camp during the Fall, there will be certain things you need to bring along to be completely prepared.
- Proper Clothes for Any Weather: Since the weather is just getting cooler during the Fall, you will likely have both warm and cool times of the day, so it is important that you bring clothes for both weather types. Luckily, most RVs nowadays have roomy closets for all your clothing.
- Fall Meals: As the weather gets colder, there will be certain food items that many people associate with camping and cool temperatures. Enjoy a steaming pot of chili to warm up during the day, and then toast marshmallows for S’Mores over an evening campfire. Be sure to bring the all your ingredients as well as the proper tools like roasting sticks and a Dutch oven pot.
- Halloween Décor: Halloween is oftentimes associated with the Fall, and you can celebrate this holiday in style by just adding a few decorations to your RV. Hang pumpkin lights from your outside awning, or carve pumpkins for a fun activity and then set them out around the campsite.
- Hiking Gear: With the beautiful fall colors and lower temps, this is one of the best times of years to go out hiking. Be sure to bring along your hiking boots, insect repellant, sunscreen, and water bottles. Then, you can get out on the trails and enjoy a leisurely walk.
