3 Awesome New Jersey Water Parks

New Jersey has some of the best camping along the East Coast, but is that really a surprise? Just look at all diverse and natural beauty of our regions. What can be a surprise though, is how hot is can get here. When those triple digits days get unbearable and the spraypads at the campsite just aren’t cutting it, head out to one of these amazing water parks to cool down.

A trip to Runaway Rapids Waterpark in Keansburg is a full-day event so come energized and ready to take on the 18 slides. If you’re more of a lounger than a thrill-seeker, head over to the lazy river to relax with the current. If you’ve got some time to plan a trip to the Waterpark, check out Groupon for ticket deals. Otherwise be prepared to shell out $27.95 per person for admission, food and drinks not included.

If you’re near Sparta, take a detour to Tomahawk Lake Park. Not just for splashing around, the 200-acre park also has mini golf, table tennis, and volleyball, among other attractions. But the crowd favorite of Tomahawk park? The Apache Plunge, a 510 foot raft ride that usually end with everyone begging to ride again.

Sahara Sam’s in West Berlin is a family favorite, and not just because it’s open year round. The surf simulator is the only one in the state, and it’s popular so you may have to wait a little to get it. Although I’m not sure what’s more popular, the surf simulator or Crocodile Flats obstacle course. We usually end up spending a whole day at Sahara Sam’s, so if you’re planning on going check out Goshen Pond Camping Area nearby.
